For all of those who wanted to spend their 2020 traveling the globe, it certainly seems that this year has been very unkind thus far. International travel laws were getting stricter by the day, and we finally reached a point where there are only a handful of countries willing to accept U.S. citizens.

Luckily, several nations have changed their harsh policies during the last few weeks. Still, for an average person, it can be very difficult to stay on top of things and keep track of these constant changes. That is why we decided to come up with this list, naming the most popular tourist destinations that are still available to American travelers. Here are some of the countries you can visit in the future.

Bahamas

Serving as one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world for years, the Bahamas were badly affected by the Coronavirus outbreak. This might’ve even forced the authorities to open the borders to American tourists on July 22. The country saw a spike in the numbers of coronavirus-related cases soon after that, but the economy was stretched thin as it is, which probably persuaded them to keep the borders open.

Still, if you have an insatiable itch to go to the lovely seaside of the Bahamas, there are plenty of resorts to choose from, that have adapted their accommodation policies to provide maximum safety for the tourists. The Bahamas are known for their stunning natural scenery, and with fewer and fewer tourists visiting it, this might be the best chance to enjoy it fully while avoiding the huge crowds.

Egypt

Even at times when coronavirus pandemic was entering its peak, Ireland kept their borders open for travelers from the U.S. and most other countries. However, what they did use was the mandatory quarantine period of 14 days, which the foreigners had to pass upon entering the country. It seems that this principle provided good results, as Ireland never recorder a large number of cases.

What is also important for the tourists to know is the fact that most popular attractions, including museums, galleries and of course, pubs are now open for business. If you’re not the type who demands sandy beaches and warm weather, but enjoys gorgeous architecture, incredible mix of cultures and love beer, Ireland might be a destination worth considering.

Mexico

Whether you want to take a little road trip by car to Mexico, or you’re more inclined to travel by plane, you are now able to enter this wonderful country without issues. Up until recently, Mexico was suffering huge financial losses due to the virus pandemic, as some reports claimed that only 3% of its total accommodation capacity was filled. Since the borders were opened at the end of June, the situation improved, but is it going to be enough to rescue their season?
