FAQ: How is our Carry-On the maximum legal carry-on size?
Standard's Carry-on Backpack conforms to international airline standards for carry on luggage. We surveyed all major international airline carry-on baggage policy when designing Carry-On. We wanted to ensure that Carry-On would work anywhere, even with the most restrictive carry-on policies such as the ones you may encounter when travelling in Europe, Asia or Budget Airlines.
Most airlines allow luggage up to 45 linear inches which translates to common dimensions of 21.5 x 13.5 x 7.5 in. Each airline has slight variations in the length, width, or height. We designed Carry-On to fall within those specifications exactly.
Carry-on is up to 21.5 x 13.5 x 7.5 in inches when collapsed, and up to 21.5 x 13.5 x 9.5 in when expanded. Therefore we can confidently say that SOLO is the maximum legal carry on size depending on how you are carrying it.
The expandable zip is a huge feature that allows you to maximize the size of SOLO depending on the airline policy you are flying with. And yes! SOLO will work on RyanAir.
Remember: always check your airlines carry on guidelines before you fly.
